Sophia Talwalkar

Sophia Talwalkar is a South Asian-American actress and singer, born and raised in Connecticut. She has training in both contemporary and classical acting, as well as classic rock, pop, jazz, and musical theatre voice. Sophia is interested in work that highlights the experiences of racial minorities across the world, allows women to speak daringly, and promotes acceptance and love above all else. As a cognitive science double major, Sophia is also passionate about accessible theatre, and finding artistic outlets for children who struggle with atypical development. She is particularly inspired by the work of Rajiv Joseph, Olivia Coleman, Robert Eggers, Anya Taylor Joy, Andrew Scott, Cate Blanchett, Paul Giamatti, and any time a woman plays one of Shakespeare’s iconic male roles. In her free time, Sophia loves to read, ice skate, barista, be with her friends, and play the New York Times ‘Connections’.
